Lorde has begun teasing her fourth album, taking to social media to hint to fans that she is well underway with new material. The New Zealand artist has teased her fourth studio album a number of times throughout 2023. Lorde returned to social media with an Instagram post seemingly teasing a new album era with multiple references to spit and spitting. Lorde is already hard at work on her follow-up to 2021's "Solar Power" album. "It has taken me quite a while to start working on it," she told Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe in an interview in August 2022. "But I've been writing a lot. I've been writing since tour ended, really. Just sort of getting a feel for what the next world is going to be."

In addition to some provocative images, Lorde's post also included a series of cryptic messages, including the phrase "The Path" and the number "4." Fans have speculated that these messages may be related to the title or theme of her new album.

Lorde has not yet announced a release date for her fourth album, but her fans are eagerly awaiting new music from the singer-songwriter.
